These cookies sound delicious, will definitely have to try the recipes when Christmas comes around again. I treasure the days the Christmases that I spent with my late grandparents and baked Christmas cookies and made Christmas candy.

Family traditions are so important, like you my family does not live near me. As my husband and I got remarried last year on Christmas Eve, I think we will start going to the park we got married in to view the Christmas Lights with our son. I think that would be a great new tradition! Thanks for sharing.

I used to have the holiday tradition on Thanksgiving day of getting up early with my two girls and watching the Macy’s day parade while making pumpkin pies. My kids are grown and on their own now but we still chat on facebook on Thanksgiving Day and compare notes on the parade. I also make christmas cookies by the ton every christmas, and decorate a gingerbread house, and one new tradition in this house is that we buy one new Christmas ornament every year. It is really fun to open all the boxes and review all the ornaments I have bought. This year it was a carousel horse which is hanging right above my computer at this moment. Might just get back into collecting those horses again.
