What a beautiful story! I did the same for my sister from 2000-2002 due to breast cancer. I too had a wonderful husband who would fill up the gas tank in my car and leave a $20 bill in the cup holder. He took care of our 15 and 8 year old son while he worked 50-60 hours a week. And you did this for a friend not a relative. It is good to know there are people out there like you because many people don’t have family. I, like you, miss my sister every single day. But I know she is happy in heaven and I will be with her someday.
