Can you believe that school is started already? We started here a week ago. I am still trying to figure out where the summer went? Although, this year we were busier than normal for summertime activities. (Which might be why the blog hasn’t had a lot of entries lately) My girls are back to public school this year, although if I am honest, I think I will miss the freedom of having them home for school. We are looking forward to lots of new adventures this school year. Keep an eye on the blog for updates on that!!

Being a parent is already hard enough. For new and single mothers, however, life can seem even harder. But with the right preparation and planning, you can easily adapt your life to parenthood and stress less about this pregnancy. Here are a few tips and tricks to help you out.
Practice Self-Care During and After Pregnancy
Women already tend to see self-care as selfish and that can be compounded by pregnancy. As a single mom or just a new mom, taking extra care of yourself is beneficial for you and your new baby. Stress during pregnancy can increase the risk for your child to experience mental health issues or problems with cognitive development later in life. So be sure to treat yourself to something special, like a prenatal massage, which can reduce physical pain and emotional worry. Yoga during pregnancy can also be helpful and you can continue to practice after as well.
