I can not believe we are almost at the end of 2019!! Yes, winter is here! Well, maybe not officially yet. Here is a fun fact: my birthday falls on the first day of winter. However, I do want to mention for a lot of the country we have already had some wintry weather. Here in middle Tennessee we have seen our first small snowfall. Which to be honest, is very unusual!! We don’t usually get that much snow and when we do it is normally in January and February. I have a feeling that we are not only in for a very cold winter, but that we will probably see more snow than we normally do.

We usually put our tree up about two weeks before Christmas. I don’t like to start doing anything Christmas related until December. I find that if I start the festivities too early than I’m usually burned out on Christmas by the time the holiday gets here.
I got mine up about 3 weeks ago! I couldnt wait cuz my tree box has a permanent home right by the back door for the cats to perch on!

No, November is the perfect time to start decorating. That way it’s ready to go for December. My tree goes up before Thanksgiving.
We always start decorating for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. We let Thanksgiving be celebrated for what it’s for. Christmas is exciting and my favorite holiday but I still like to celebrate Thanksgiving first!

I say whatever makes people happy – put your tree up then. There’s too much negativity in the world, to get bent out of shape about that.
