I am so ready for our annual family trip to the beach! We are leaving this weekend and we will get to enjoy the beautiful beach in Ocean Isle, North Carolina! My husband and I are excited to enjoy the beach this year with 5 of our 12 grandchildren. It has been a long winter and I am so ready to go put the sand in my toes and smell the salty air! I know not everybody enjoys the beach, I grew up in San Diego, so going to the beach is in my blood! Enough about me and our adventures this May…let me tell you what you came here to really here about!

I wasn’t around for the original Roaring 20’s, but I am looking forward to this year for certain!! I have a ton of reason for it to be “Roaring”. My reasons will probably be so much different than most people though. I have 3 grandchildren that will be turning 3 this year, in addition to one that will be 4 and yet another that will be turning 1 at the end of the year. So as you can see, it will certainly be “Roaring” around this Nana’s house!!
This post and giveaway truly has nothing to do with my grandbabies….but as a Nana, I have to admit, I am always wanting to brag and share about the them!!

I can not believe we are almost at the end of 2019!! Yes, winter is here! Well, maybe not officially yet. Here is a fun fact: my birthday falls on the first day of winter. However, I do want to mention for a lot of the country we have already had some wintry weather. Here in middle Tennessee we have seen our first small snowfall. Which to be honest, is very unusual!! We don’t usually get that much snow and when we do it is normally in January and February. I have a feeling that we are not only in for a very cold winter, but that we will probably see more snow than we normally do.

Phew, can you believe the year is almost over? I mean seriously, SEPTEMBER? We only have 4 months before we enter the New Year!! When I think of the term “September to Remember” , I can’t help relate that to the crazy weather we are having in Middle Tennessee this year! Today is Sept. 10th and it is going to be a heat index of 100 degrees!! We are on track to set a record that was set back in the 1800’s! So I promise you this year will be a September to Remember!

Are you ready for your kids to be back in school? I know for my family, this year is a little different, as I have decided to home school through a free public school system. It is working out wonderful and we are excited as a family to have the kids getting their education here at home!! I noticed I didn’t spend 1/10 of what I would normally spend on school supplies and new school clothes However, I have spent extra money here and there for the initial set up for making part of a room in the house a “classroom”.
